Updated: Jun 25, 2020

ExploSpot Systems are part of the International Mining spotlight feature article in Mine Safety.

The implementation of an active explosion suppression system (AESS) in a mine can be based on legislation or a risk analysis and management systems used at a mine. Once implemented an ExploSpot® AESS is required to contain and suppress any explosion. The objective of early suppression is to prevent injuries, fatalities and the loss of machinery and resources. Injuries and fatalities are caused high temperatures and pressure exposure associated with the flame and shock-wave respectively and toxic gases generated during an explosion.
